How many movies can I check out at once?
That depends on your membership plan. We have a 1, 2,3,4 and 5 DVD plans. If you signed up for the three movie plan, you can have up to three titles in your possession at once.
Lets say for example, that you signed up for the three DVD plan. If you return one movie back to us, we'll send out one movie from your MovieGamer.com DVD Rental Queue (the first available starting at the top of your queue). If you send back two movies, then we'll send you the next two available DVD's on your Rental Queue.... and so forth. This ensures that you will always have three movies at once.

Do you charge me during the trial period?
Although the trial period is free and you will not pay anything during this time, we do process an authorization transaction. What is this? It's a way for our bank to verify that your credit/debit card is real and valid. It's usually a small charge that is followed by a refund. The charge and the refund happen in a couple of seconds and most banks won't show it on the monthly statement because they know what it is. However, some banks decide to show this on their statements and some of our customers ask us about it. We hope this clarifies everything.
What day of the month will I get billed?
Your flat monthly membership fee (plus tax) is automatically billed on the monthly anniversary of your first charge. For example, if your first charge was on the 17th of the month, your next charge is on the 17th of the following month.

How long will it take to get my movies?
When you have an open rental slot, we make every effort to ship your DVD as soon as inventory is available. Movies usually arrive within 2 to 4 days, but occasionally some movies may take longer than 4 days to arrive because of postal delays like holidays. Remember, the post office doesn't deliver or move mail during Sundays. So if you drop a DVD at the post office on a Saturday night it is the same as dropping it Monday morning.
Orders received from our website on Sundays and holidays are processed the following business day.

How do I report a shipping problem or a disc that won't play?
If you have any shipping problems, such as delayed arrival of your rentals, or an unplayable DVD, you can report it on the Contact MovieGamer.com page.
***If your DVD is skipping, try washing with mild soap or window cleaner and a paper towel. If that doesn't work or the disc is cracked or damaged, just let us know and we'll either ship you another copy of the same title or your next requested title.

What if I don't receive a title?
MovieGamer uses the U.S. Postal Service to ship discs to our customers. We found this method of delivery to be reliable and fast. However, we're aware that a disc may occasionally be lost during the shipping process through no fault of the customer. Therefore, it is our policy to accommodate for the occasional disc lost during shipment. If the quantity of lost discs reported by a customer becomes excessive, however, we will place the account under review and notify the customer via email.
We understand that things happen and sometimes the US Postal Service can make mistakes, and therefore we offer the Contact MovieGamer page to report the occasional lost DVD. If you received the DVD and have misplaced it and you wish to add another DVD to your account a replacement cost will be billed to your account. But remember there's no rush - we understand things get misplaced and there is no due date - so keep looking and we'll continue to send new dvds as we receive your viewed dvds.

What is the 'Rental Queue'?
The 'Rental Queue' is the list of movies you've selected to rent. You can update or edit your Rental Queue anytime. Initially, we'll send you the first available DVDs from your Rental Queue. When you're finished watching one of the DVDs you have out, send it back so we can ship the next available title from your Rental Queue. To rent a movie, browse the MovieGamer.com site and click the Rent button next to any movie. This title will be added to your Rental Queue.
To adjust the priority of movies, change the number in the Priority column and then click Update Queue. It's also easy to change the priority of more than one movie at a time. Simply change the priority of as many movies as you want and then click Rental Queue -- the site will make all the necessary changes. To remove movies from your Rental Queue, check the Remove box next to any movie.

Occasionally, I receive the second or third disc in my DVD Rental Queue before the first. Why does this happen?
When you return a movie or have an open slot in your Rental Queue, we make every effort to ship your first choice. To help you get the most out of your membership, if a title in a higher spot is out of stock, we'll send your next available in-stock title. This way, you will always have great movies on hand!

I sent back a DVD but never got the next one in Rental Queue.
Once a title you return has been checked back into our inventory, you'll receive an email confirmation of its return. We'll then ship the next available title from your Rental Queue. You can always check the My Account page on the site to see whether we have received the movie you've returned. If 7-10 days pass, and you don't receive a confirmation email from us, please use the Contact Us page to report it as 'already returned'.

I noticed you have hardware on your inventory. Do you rent the hardware?
No. We only carry hardware with the purpose of selling it. Our rentals are exclusively for DVD media of movies and games.
We have a huge database and we are always maintaining it. No matter how hard we work, sometimes we make mistakes and you will see hardware listed for rent. Please let us know of our error and we'll take it off the rental list and place it in the sales list where it belongs. Which brings us to our next topic below. |
